Following this morning's City Council plenary session, we have learned that the Jardins-Lavigne dog park will remain accessible to dogs without a leash until a fence (farm style) is built around the pond in order to meet the requirements of the provincial safety regulations.
This scenario will also apply to the 3 other City's off-leash and unfenced dog parks.
The Aylmer dog club is reassured to know that the Jardins-Lavigne off-leah dog park is there to stay. It goes without saying that your multiple interventions have made a difference.

The off-leash dog park is located in the undeveloped area of Jardins-Lavigne park (Bois-Franc Avenue, Aylmer). This park is greatly appreciated by dog walkers. Our association installed benches and ensures its cleanliness.
Garbage containers around the Jardins-Lavigne bassin
The Aylmer Canine Club has bought and installed garbage containers (green) around the bassin. Unfortunately, the City’s public work department will not empty them.
We must call on your collaboration to accomplish that task. If you notice that a container is filled you can simply deposit the filled bag in one of the blue containers situated at the entrance of the dog park.
Do not forget to replace by a new bag
(you will find them at the bottom of the container).
